Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB), an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, has released Advertisement No. PHRS/MLS/JULY/2026 for 15 Laboratory Technologist Intern positions in its Public Health Research & Services Programme, CMLS Unit. The postings are for Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts in Kerala. RGCB carries out translational research in genomics, stem cell biology, cancer biology and infectious diseases, and this project supports its public health diagnostic and research work in the state. The position is initially for one year and can be extended based on your yearly performance, but it does not entitle you to any future or permanent position at RGCB — like all project posts here, it ends along with the project.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Graduate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an approved university, OR a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology approved by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME).

Age Limit

• You should be below 30 years of age as on 27 July 2026.
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India norms for reserved categories.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 10,000 per month.
• No TA/DA is paid for appearing in the selection interview.

Selection Process

Selection is done in 2 stages:

1. Eligibility Screening: Your online application is checked against the qualification criteria, and candidates who meet the criteria are shortlisted.
2. Online Selection Interview: Shortlisted candidates attend an online interview. Final selection is based on your qualifications and interview performance.
