RGCB Instrumentation and Software Integration Engineer Recruitment 2026: Overview

BRIC-Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB), an institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, needs one Instrumentation and Software Integration Engineer for a project funded by BIRAC-DBT (File No. BT/BMH0143/BMI/Bio-AI-09/25). The project is building an AI-integrated multiplexed platform for miRNA-based genetic diagnosis and prognosis.

You will be based in the lab of Dr. Debanjan Bhowmik, Scientist C, at the Akkulam Campus of RGCB in Thiruvananthapuram. It is a contractual project post, so it suits someone who wants hands-on time at the point where lab hardware, software and molecular diagnostics come together.

The notice is open to graduates from several streams. A B.Tech or a master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Optics or Biotechnology qualifies you, and industry experience or an internship will count in your favour. A national test score such as CSIR-UGC NET or GATE is preferred but not compulsory.
