NEIGRIHMS Deputy Director (Administration) Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is looking for a Deputy Director (Administration) for North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong. This is a deputation or foreign-service posting, so it is open only to serving government and PSU officers — not to fresh candidates.

NEIGRIHMS is a super-speciality teaching hospital set up by the Government of India to serve the whole North East. It runs DM, MD/MS and MBBS programmes along with a College of Nursing for B.Sc and M.Sc Nursing. The officer selected becomes the overall head of administration at the institute and also its Drawing and Disbursing Officer, so this suits an administrator who wants charge of a large medical campus.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Deputation tenure: One year at first, extended after a performance review, but never beyond five years in total.
• Experience relaxation: The experience condition can be relaxed at the discretion of the Competent Authority.
• Pay and terms: Your deputation pay and other terms follow DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay.II) dated 17 June 2010, as amended from time to time.
• Clean service record: Your cadre authority must certify that no major or minor penalty was imposed on you during the last ten years of service.
• Incomplete applications: Late applications, or ones sent without APARs/ACRs, will not be considered.

There is no online form. Fill the prescribed bio-data proforma in duplicate (posted with the advertisement on the NEIGRIHMS website) and have it forwarded through proper channel by your cadre controlling authority, which must also verify and certify your particulars.

The application goes to the Under Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Hospital-III Section, Room No. 11076, First Floor, B Wing, Kartavya Bhawan-I, New Delhi 110001. It must arrive within 45 days of the advertisement appearing in the Employment News, together with your APARs/ACRs, vigilance clearance and integrity certificate.

• Take overall charge of the administration of NEIGRIHMS, Shillong
• Act as the Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) of the Institute
• Draw bills and release salary and other payments as the Institute's DDO
• Oversee administrative support for the hospital, the medical programmes and the College of Nursing
