Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has released notification for 1 Security Guard / Security Guard Grade II / Watcher Grade II post in Various Government Owned Companies, Corporations and Boards in Kerala. This is a 1st NCA (Non-Community Allotment) vacancy reserved for the SCCC (Scheduled Caste Converted to Christianity) community. Only ex-servicemen belonging to the SCCC community of Kerala can apply. Last date to apply is 29 April 2026. There is no application fee.

Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has issued Gazette notification Cat.No. 18/2026 dated 31 March 2026 for filling up 1 vacancy of Security Guard / Security Guard Grade II / Watcher Grade II under the I NCA-SCCC quota. The ranked list published through this notification will remain valid until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancy during the currency of the Mother Ranked List (Cat. No. 309/2021) published on 19 February 2024. This post is exclusively for ex-servicemen from the SCCC community with at least 3 years of service in the Armed Forces.

Who Can Apply?

• Community: You must belong to the Scheduled Caste Converted to Christianity (SCCC) community of Kerala State. Applications from other communities will be summarily rejected.
• Service Background: You must be an ex-serviceman with not less than 3 years of experience in the Armed Forces (Army, Navy, or Air Force).
• Education: You must have passed Standard VII (New) or its equivalent examination.
• Cycling: You must know cycling.
• Gender: Women are eligible only for vacancies reported from KMML (MS Unit). For other institutions, only male candidates are eligible.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 50 years old.
• You must have been born between 02 January 1976 and 01 January 2008 (both dates included).
• The maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.

Salary

• Scale of pay as prescribed for the post by the concerned Company, Corporation, or Board where you are posted.
• You will also receive DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Kerala State Government rules.

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates:

• Height: 168 cm (minimum)
• Chest: Normal 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm

Note: Physical standards for female candidates apply only for KMML (MS Unit) vacancies.

Application Fee

• No application fee is required for this post.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the following stages:

1. Written/OMR/Online Test: If conducted, you will need to submit a confirmation for writing the exam through your One Time Registration profile. Admission tickets will be available for download 15 days before the exam date.
2. Document Verification: You will need to produce documents proving your qualification, age, community, and ex-serviceman status when called.

The selection will be subject to the rules and regulations of the concerned Company/Corporation/Board.

How to Apply

1. Go to the Kerala PSC official website at www.keralapsc.gov.in.
2. Register yourself through the One Time Registration system if you have not already done so.
3. Log in using your User ID and Password.
4. Click on the "Apply Now" button next to the Security Guard notification (Cat.No. 18/2026).
5. Upload your photograph with your name and photo date printed at the bottom. New registrants must upload a photo taken within 6 months.
6. If you have an Aadhaar card, add it as ID Proof in your profile.
7. Submit the application. Keep a printout or soft copy for future reference.

Note: Once submitted, the application cannot be deleted or altered.

• Guard and patrol assigned premises, buildings, and entry points of the organisation
• Monitor visitors and control access to restricted areas
• Report any security breaches, suspicious activities, or safety hazards to superiors
• Maintain a daily duty log and record all incidents during the shift
• Operate and monitor security equipment such as CCTV cameras and alarms
• Conduct regular rounds of the premises including night patrols
• Assist in crowd management during official events or emergencies
