The Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has released Notification No. 058/2026 for one Assistant post in the Secretariat under the General Administration Department. This is a state-wide Special Recruitment open only to Scheduled Tribe candidates of Kerala. Applications from candidates who are not from the Scheduled Tribe community will be rejected. This is a permanent government job filled by direct recruitment, and the ranked list will stay valid for one to three years, so further ST vacancies reported during this period may also be filled from the same list.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Degree in any faculty from a recognised University, or an equivalent qualification.
• Community: Only Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates of Kerala can apply. This is a special recruitment reserved for ST candidates.
• Probation: If selected, you will be on probation for a total of two years within a continuous period of three years.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 45 years old. Only candidates born between 2 January 1981 and 1 January 2008 (both dates included) are eligible.
• Special relaxation: If no qualified candidates are found within the age limit, the upper age limit can be relaxed up to 50 years, but never beyond that. No other age relaxation is allowed for this special recruitment.

Salary

• The pay scale for this post is Rs. 39,300 to Rs. 83,000 per month.
• You will also get Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other allowances as per Kerala Government rules.

Selection Process

Selection is based on the rank you secure in the ranked list prepared by the Commission:

1. Written / OMR Test (if held): If the Commission conducts a written or OMR test, you must confirm through your profile that you will write the exam, and then download your admission ticket.
2. Ranked List: Kerala PSC will publish a ranked list of successful ST candidates based on merit.
3. Document Verification: You must produce original documents for qualification, age, and ST community when the Commission calls you.
