The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has released Notification No. 03/OG/SD/2026 to recruit 19 Seed Certification Officers for the Telangana Seed & Organic Certification Authority. This is a state-level gazetted post for agriculture postgraduates who want a respected government career in seed quality control and certification. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: A Basic Degree in Agriculture together with a Post Graduation - M.Sc. (Ag.) - in Seed Technology, Plant Breeding, Agronomy or Plant Physiology from any University recognized by the ICAR.
• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.
• Your qualification result must be declared on or before the notification date, 2 July 2026.
• Distance Education: Degrees earned through open universities or distance mode must be recognized by the UGC / AICTE / Distance Education Bureau.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 44 years old as on 1 July 2026. The upper age limit has been raised from 34 to 44 years for this recruitment.
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST, BC and EWS candidates get 5 years; Persons with Disability get 10 years; Ex-Servicemen get 3 years plus their length of service; and Telangana State Government employees get up to 5 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a pay scale of Rs. 51,320 to Rs. 1,27,310 per month (state-level scale).
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Telangana government rules.

• Application Processing Fee - SC / ST / PwD: Rs. 500
• Examination Fee: Rs. 80 (all unemployed applicants are exempted; only government employees pay this)
• Payment mode: Online through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI.

Selection Process

Selection is based only on a written examination and is done in two stages:

1. Written Examination (Objective Type - 300 marks): Held in CBRT (Computer Based) or OMR mode. Paper-I (General Studies and General Abilities) and Paper-II (subject-related, PG level) each carry 150 marks. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for OC, Sportspersons and EWS; 35% for BCs; and 30% for SC, ST and PwD candidates.
2. Document Verification and Medical Examination: Candidates selected on merit must produce their original certificates and be found medically fit for appointment.

The exam will be held at Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal and Nizamabad, and is tentatively scheduled for October 2026. For Computer Based Tests held in multiple sessions, the scores are normalized before results are declared. Paper-I is bilingual in English and Telugu, while Paper-II is set in English only and tests postgraduate-level subject knowledge in agriculture and seed science.

3. Log in and open the online application link for this notification.
4. Check the details fetched from OTR and select your exam centre.
5. Pay the fee online and click Confirm & Submit.
6. Download the PDF application form and keep the Reference ID for future use.
