Telangana Public Service Commission has released Notification No. 03/G/SE/2026 for Deputy Educational Officers / Gazetted Head Master Grade-I posts in Telangana School Education Department. These are multi-zonal permanent government posts, with 10 vacancies in Multi Zone-I and 14 vacancies in Multi Zone-II. The written examination is tentatively scheduled for October 2026 and selection will be based on written exam marks.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree: You need a degree from a UGC-recognised university with subjects eligible for admission into a B.Ed course.
• Post Graduate Degree: You also need a PG degree from a UGC-recognised university with at least 55% marks.
• Relaxed marks: SC, ST, BC and Differently Abled candidates need at least 50% marks for academic and professional qualifications.
• Distance education note: Open or distance education qualifications must be recognised by UGC, AICTE or Distance Education Bureau.
• Qualification date: You must have the required qualification by 05 June 2026, and your university result must already be declared by that date.
• Equivalent qualification: If your qualification is different from the exact wording in the notification, TGPSC can refer it to an Expert Committee and its decision will be final.

Local Status

• Telangana local reservation: Local reservation is applied by Multi Zone under the Telangana Public Employment rules.
• Other-state candidates: Candidates from other states are not entitled to Telangana reservation benefits.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 44 years old as on 01 July 2026.
• Minimum age rule: You should not be born after 01 July 2008.
• Maximum age rule: You should not be born before 02 July 1982.
• Superannuation note: You are not eligible if you cross 61 years after applicable age relaxation.
• Age relaxation: SC, ST, BC and EWS candidates get 5 years; PwD candidates get 10 years; Telangana State Government employees may get up to 5 years based on service; Ex-Servicemen and NCC instructors get relaxation as per rules.

Salary

• Pay scale is Rs. 58,850 to Rs. 1,37,050 per month.
• Entry basic pay starts from Rs. 58,850 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Telangana Government rules.

Application Fee

• OC and BC applicants have to pay Rs. 1,000 as online application processing fee.
• SC, ST and PwD applicants have to pay Rs. 500 as online application processing fee.
• Examination fee: Rs. 120 is payable unless you are covered by the unemployment exemption mentioned in the notification.
• Payment mode: Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI through the online payment gateway.

Selection Process

The selection will be made through a written examination and the final rank will be based on written exam marks:

1. Written Exam: Objective type exam by CBRT or OMR mode, with 450 total marks.
2. Qualifying Marks: OC, Sports and EWS need at least 40%; BC candidates need 35%; SC, ST and PH candidates need 30%.
3. Document Verification: TGPSC can verify original documents submitted through OTR or online application at any stage.
4. Medical Fitness: Appointment is subject to medical fitness, sound health and satisfactory character verification.
5. Exam Centres: The exam is expected at Hyderabad including HMDA jurisdiction, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal and Nizamabad, or any centre decided by TGPSC.
6. Ranking Note: Selection is made against vacancies available in the relevant Multi Zone, and tie rules include local status, age and paper-wise marks.

2. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) if you do not already have a TGPSC ID.
3. Open the online application link for Notification No. 03/G/SE/2026.
4. Log in with your TGPSC ID, date of birth and OTP.
5. Check your OTR details, select the exam centre, fill the form and preview it carefully.
6. Pay the required fee online and submit before 19 July 2026 at 5:00 PM.
