Selection Process

The HPPSC selection process has written papers followed by a Personality Test. For medical teaching posts, the Commission uses the written-test and interview method given in the advertisement.

1. Paper-I Screening Test: CBT or offline objective test of 1 hour for 100 marks covering Himachal Pradesh GK, national/international GK, Hindi, and English.
2. Paper-II Subject Aptitude Test: Descriptive test of 3 hours for 120 marks in Forensic Medicine.
3. Document Scrutiny: HPPSC will check uploaded certificates, experience proof, and category documents before final stages.
4. Personality Test: Interview of 30 marks at the HPPSC office in Shimla.
