Medchal DMHO NHM NUHM Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Office of the District Medical & Health Officer (DM&HO), Medchal-Malkajgiri District is hiring for 13 kinds of health posts under the National Health Mission (NHM) and the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM). The posts cover urban health centres, the NCD and IDSP programmes, child health screening (RBSK), the TB programme (NTEP) and the district diagnostic hubs.

Every post is contract or outsourcing based, not a regular government job. The biggest openings are for Staff Nurses, Lab Technicians and Mid Level Health Providers, so this drive suits nursing, lab and medical graduates who want to work in their own district.

Posts and Disciplines

• MLHP / CHO / MO (NHM): a Mid Level Health Provider post open to MBBS, BAMS or B.Sc Nursing holders; it is a Multi Zone-II post and the pay differs between MBBS and the other degrees.
• District Epidemiologist (IDSP): the district disease surveillance post for medical graduates with public health training or life-science graduates with an MPH.
• Staff Nurse: posts under the NCD programme (NHM) and the urban health centres (NUHM) for B.Sc Nursing or GNM holders.
• ANM (NUHM): field health posts for women who passed the Multi-Purpose Health Worker (Female) course.
• Lab Technician (NUHM): lab posts for diploma or certificate holders in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Pharmacist: posts under NUHM, RBSK and the District Hub for D.Pharm or B.Pharm holders.
• Public Health Manager (NUHM): a programme management post for graduates with a Master's in Public Health or Community Medicine.
• PPM / ACSM Coordinator (NTEP): a TB programme post that needs field experience in communication or public-private partnership; you must hold a permanent two-wheeler driving licence.
• TD Mini Hub Manager and Supporting Staff: a manager post for MBA (Health Care) or postgraduates, and a support post for Class 10 pass candidates.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement lasts one year or until the need ends, whichever is earlier. The appointing authority may extend it, or end it at any time without notice.
• No permanent job: This contract gives no right to a regular appointment and does not count for pension.
• Local reservation: 95% of posts go to local candidates under G.O.Ms.No.124. If you do not submit study certificates for Class 1 to 7, you are treated as non-local; without a caste certificate you are treated as OC.
• Cadre: Staff Nurse, ANM, Lab Technician and most Pharmacist posts are Zone-VI; the Epidemiologist, Public Health Manager, PPM Coordinator and Mini Hub posts are district posts.
• Leave: You get only casual leave and 120 days of maternity leave; there is no earned or half-pay leave, and absence for over one month ends the contract.
• Certificates and bond: Your original certificates stay with the office until the contract ends, and you sign an agreement bond on Rs. 100 non-judicial stamp paper when you join.
• Resignation: Give one month's notice before you leave.
• Posting: You are not transferred during the contract, but the employer can shift you for administrative reasons.

Download the NHM NUHM application form from the Medchal-Malkajgiri district website, fill it in and attach self-attested copies of all certificates plus the registration fee demand draft in favour of the District Medical & Health Officer, Medchal-Malkajgiri.

Hand the form in person at the O/o. DM&HO, F-1, IDOC Building, Anthaipally, Shamirpet, between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The counter is closed on Sunday, and incomplete forms are rejected outright. Check the district website regularly for the merit list and counselling notices.
