About This Job

Apply for 57 Medical Officer, Staff Nurse and Supporting Staff posts in DMHO Medchal. Salary: Rs 15,600-52,000. Last date: 28 Oct 2026.

DMHO Medchal Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

The District Medical & Health Officer (DM&HO), Medchal-Malkajgiri District is filling Medical Officer, Staff Nurse and Supporting Staff posts for the Basthi Dawakhanas run under the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) and PM-ABHIM. You will be engaged under the control of the DM&HO and work within Medchal-Malkajgiri District.

All posts are contractual for one year or until the need ends, whichever comes first. There is no written exam — the District Selection Committee, chaired by the District Collector, ranks applicants on qualifying-exam marks plus an age weightage. Doctors, nurses and Class 10 pass candidates who are local to Telangana's zones stand the best chance.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Medical Officer (Basthi Dawakhana, NUHM PM-ABHIM): clinic doctor posts for MBBS graduates registered with the Telangana State Medical Council. Local status is reckoned on the Multi Zone-II districts, which include Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar.
  • Staff Nurse (Basthi Dawakhana, NUHM PM-ABHIM): nursing posts for GNM, B.Sc. or M.Sc. Nursing holders registered with the Telangana State Nursing Council. Local status follows Zone VI — Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Sangareddy and Vikarabad.
  • Supporting Staff (Basthi Dawakhana, NUHM PM-ABHIM): support posts for SSC (Class 10) pass candidates, reckoned as a district-level cadre for Medchal-Malkajgiri only.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Local reservation: 95% of posts are reserved for local candidates under G.O. Ms. No. 124. You prove local status with study certificates from Class 1 to 7; without them you are treated as non-local.
  • Caste certificate: If you do not submit a caste certificate issued in your father's name by the Tahsildar/MRO, you are treated as OC (open category).
  • Tie-break: When two applicants score the same marks, the older candidate gets the better rank.
  • Foreign medical graduates: Your FMGE percentage is converted to a base of 90% for the merit calculation.
  • No regular claim: The contract does not give you any right to a regular appointment, and it can be ended at any time without notice.
  • Leave: Only casual leave as per rules, plus 120 days of maternity leave without pay for women. Unauthorised absence of over a month ends the contract.
  • Agreement bond: You must sign an agreement on a Rs. 100 non-judicial stamp paper, and your original certificates stay with the office until the contract ends.
  • Resignation: One month's prior notice is needed if you want to leave.
  • Posts may change: The Collector and DM&HO can increase or reduce the number of posts, or postpone or cancel the drive at any time.

Download the BDK application form from the Medchal-Malkajgiri district website, fill it in, and submit it in person at the O/o. DM&HO, F-1, IDOC Building, Anthaipally, Shamirpet between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM (Sundays excluded).
