ANSAS MO-cum-CHO (Ayurveda) Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Andaman & Nicobar State AYUSH Society (ANSAS), which runs the National AYUSH Mission in the islands for the Andaman and Nicobar Administration, wants one MO-cum-CHO (Ayurveda) to work as an Ayurveda doctor in its health network. This is a contract engagement of 11 months, not a regular government post, and the notice comes from the office of the Deputy Director (AYUSH).

If you hold an Ayurveda degree and are registered with a State or Central Register of Ayurveda, you can apply. Two years of practice in a recognised Ayurveda hospital or dispensary is desirable, not compulsory, so recent graduates with a valid registration are not shut out. The pay is a mix of fixed pay and performance-linked incentive, which is how most National AYUSH Mission posts are structured.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: The engagement runs for 11 months under the guidelines of the A&N State AYUSH Society. Any renewal depends on a review of your performance, your contribution to the department, mutually agreed terms and Government of India guidelines at the time.
• No claim to a regular job: The contract does not promise regular appointment under the AYUSH Society or the A&N Administration.
• Posting anywhere in the islands: You can be posted anywhere in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and you must be ready to work in or travel to remote and hard areas when the department asks.
• Pay structure: Part of the monthly amount is a fixed amount and the rest is a performance-linked incentive, so the full figure is the upper limit, not a guaranteed sum.
• Shortlisting: The society may shortlist candidates for the interview using criteria set by the competent authority, and the final choice is made purely on merit.
• No call letters, no TA/DA: No individual interview call letters will be sent, so keep checking the A&N Administration website. No travel allowance is paid for attending the interview.
• Honest disclosure: Hiding any material information in your application can lead to disqualification at any stage.
