NHSRC Consultant Bureau of Planning Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), New Delhi, is hiring a Consultant on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). You will not sit at NHSRC itself — you will be placed in the Ministry's Bureau of Planning (BoP), the unit that tracks how health schemes perform against their targets.

The work is strongly data and monitoring focused. It covers the Output Outcome Monitoring Framework, the eSamiksha review system, budget announcements, Finance Commission work and the five-year goals linked to Viksit Bharat. If you have a public health background and like turning data into reports for decision-makers, this role fits well.

Both doctors with a public health postgraduate qualification and non-MBBS graduates such as BDS, AYUSH, MSW and social science postgraduates with an MPH or PG Diploma in Public Health can apply. Non-MBBS applicants need more work experience.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Contract: The engagement is purely contractual for one year. An extension depends on satisfactory performance.
  • Work base: You will be based at the Bureau of Planning, MoHFW, New Delhi.
  • Travel: You must be ready to travel anywhere in India, including state and district visits for technical support.
  • Resignation: If you leave, you must give one month's notice.
  • Written test cut-off: If NHSRC holds a written test, you need at least 70% to qualify.
  • Preference: Candidates who have worked in Centre, State or UT Health Departments get preference.
