Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has released Notification No. 02/G/RB/2026 for Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical) posts under the Engineer-in-Chief, Transport, Roads and Buildings Department. This is a state-cadre Telangana government engineering recruitment, and selection will be made on state-wide merit. Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Required degree: You need a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Recognised institution: Your degree must be from a university established under a Central Act, Telangana State Act, or a recognised institution.
• Equivalent route: Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (A.M.I.E.) is accepted where it matches the prescribed engineering qualification.
• Cut-off date: Your required qualification result must be declared by 2 June 2026, the notification date.
• Distance education: Degrees earned through open or distance mode must have recognition from the relevant authority such as UGC, AICTE or Distance Education Bureau.

• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.
• Local reservation: Local reservation is not applicable because the post is state level and selection is on state-wide merit.
• Work location: Selected candidates must be ready to serve in Telangana State.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years as on 1 July 2026.
• Maximum age: 44 years as on 1 July 2026.
• Date of birth rule: You should not be born after 1 July 2008 for minimum age and not before 2 July 1982 for maximum age.
• SC, ST, BC and EWS candidates: 5 years upper-age relaxation.
• Physically Handicapped candidates: 10 years upper-age relaxation.
• Telangana State Government employees: up to 5 years based on regular service.
• Ex-servicemen and NCC instructors: 3 years plus service length, as per notification rules.

Salary

• Pay scale: Rs. 54,220 to Rs. 1,33,630 per month.
• Post level: State-level Assistant Executive Engineer cadre in the Roads and Buildings Department.
• Allowances: Selected candidates will receive Telangana Government allowances as applicable to the post.

Application Fee

• OC and BC applicants: Rs. 1,000 online application processing fee.
• SC, ST and PwD applicants: Rs. 500 online application processing fee.
• Examination fee: Rs. 120 for each applicant, but unemployed applicants are exempt from this examination fee.
• Government employees: Employees of Central Government, State Government, PSUs, corporations or other government sector bodies must pay the Rs. 120 examination fee.
• Payment mode: Pay online through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI while submitting the application.

Selection Process

The selection is based on an objective written examination conducted in CBRT or OMR mode. TGPSC will select candidates in merit order against the notified vacancies, followed by document checks and medical fitness.

1. Written Examination: Paper I has 150 questions for 150 marks in 150 minutes. Paper II has 150 questions for 300 marks in 150 minutes.
2. Qualifying Marks: OC, Sports and EWS need at least 40%; BC candidates need 35%; SC, ST and PH candidates need 30%.
3. Document Verification: TGPSC can verify original documents submitted through OTR or online application at any stage.
4. Medical Fitness: Appointment is subject to being found medically fit for the post.

How to Apply

1. Complete OTR: Go to tgpsc.gov.in and complete One Time Registration if you do not already have a TGPSC ID.
2. Open the AEE Electrical application: Use the online application link for Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical) - 02/G/RB/2026 once it is available on the official TGPSC site.
3. Login with TGPSC ID: Enter your TGPSC ID, date of birth and OTP received on your registered mobile number.
4. Check details: Verify your name, date of birth, qualification, community, gender, disability, ex-servicemen and sports details from OTR.
5. Select exam centre: Choose your preferred examination centre and preview the application carefully.
6. Pay fee online: Use net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI and then download the submitted PDF application.
