Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) is recruiting Food Safety Officers for the Food & Drugs Administration Department, Haryana. These are regular Group B posts under the department's service rules. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Training after appointment: The department will provide the training specified by the Food Authority after appointment. You will be notified as a Food Safety Officer after completing that training successfully.
• Financial interests: You cannot be appointed if you have a financial interest in manufacturing, importing or selling food. Check this condition carefully if you are connected with a food business.
• Applicable rules: Recruitment follows the Food Safety Officer service rules in force when the advertisement was issued. HPSC does not accept an equivalence claim simply because a course seems similar to a listed qualification.
• Provisional consideration: An admit card does not establish that you meet every appointment condition. HPSC initially uses the information you enter, and your claims remain subject to scrutiny.
• Category declaration: Your application is considered under the category you select in the form. The notice does not allow a later category change, so check that entry before you finalise it.
• State reservation: Haryana's specified reservation benefits apply to Haryana residents or domicile holders. Reserved-category applicants from other states compete under General/Unreserved conditions.
• Backward Class reservation: Haryana applicants in the creamy layer cannot claim BC-A or BC-B reservation. A generic OBC claim does not replace the specific Haryana category requirements.
• Recruitment changes: The government may increase or reduce the number of posts. HPSC also retains discretion over the recruitment method and how it limits the number of candidates called onward.
• Online communications: Download your e-admit card from the commission website when available. HPSC will not send it separately by post; keep your registered email and mobile number active throughout recruitment.
• Corrections: Submitted entries cannot be edited. If you need to correct an error while applications remain open, the notice permits a fresh application; only the latest application number will be considered.
• Declarations: Disclose pending criminal cases, disciplinary matters and other proceedings requested in the form. False or incomplete information can lead to cancellation.
• Rechecking: HPSC rules out manual checking or rechecking of OMR sheets and re-evaluation of Subject Knowledge Test answers. Follow the instructions supplied for whichever test you attend.
