JERC Principal Private Secretary Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) for the State of Goa and the Union Territories needs a Principal Private Secretary (PPS) at its office in Udyog Vihar, Gurugram. JERC is a statutory body set up under the Electricity Act, 2003, and it is filling this single post through a vacancy circular issued by its Secretary.

This is not an open-market job. The post is filled on deputation on foreign service terms, which also covers a short-term contract, so only serving officers of the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, PSUs or autonomous bodies can be considered.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The deputation starts with a three-year term. Any extension is decided in consultation with the Central Government and depends on a satisfactory performance appraisal every year.
• Service rules: Your pay, allowances and other conditions follow the JERC (Recruitment, Control and Service Conditions of Officers and Staff) Regulations, 2009, read with the DoPT deputation OM of 17 June 2010 and its later amendments.
• Proper channel only: Your application must be forwarded by your department with an NOC or forwarding letter. Applications without it, or not in the prescribed format, will not be accepted.
• Immediate relief: Departments are asked to forward only those officers who can be relieved immediately if selected.
• Officers already on deputation: Your application must come from your parent cadre along with cadre clearance, vigilance clearance and an integrity certificate.
• No withdrawal: Once selected, you will not be allowed to withdraw your candidature.
• Age proof: Your age is checked only from your Matriculation certificate or a Date of Birth certificate issued by a recognised board or authority.
• Travel costs: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
• Right to cancel: JERC may leave the post unfilled or change or cancel the recruitment without giving reasons.
