About This Exam Announcement

The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has fixed the date for a Combined Subject Knowledge Test covering two earlier teaching recruitments. If you applied for PGT Computer Science (Advt. No. 23 of 2026) for Rest of Haryana Cadre and Mewat Cadre, or for Lecturer (Information & Technology) (Advt. No. 19/2026) in the Development & Panchayats Department, your written test will be held on 17 May 2026. Both posts share the same paper, so candidates who applied for both will be considered together based on a single test result.

The Haryana Public Service Commission, Panchkula, issued this announcement on 27 April 2026. The Lecturer (IT) post falls under the Development & Panchayats Department, Haryana, while the PGT Computer Science post is for government schools across the Rest of Haryana Cadre and Mewat Cadre. The syllabus and exam pattern for both posts are already uploaded on hpsc.gov.in. This is an exam-schedule notice — fresh applications are not being invited under this announcement.

Who Can Appear?

Only candidates who already submitted online applications under Advt. No. 23 of 2026 or Advt. No. 19/2026 within the original closing dates can sit in this combined test. The original eligibility conditions for each advertisement continue to apply.

For PGT Computer Science (Advt. 23/2026)

• Master's degree in Computer Science / Computer Applications / Information Technology from a recognised university (per the original HPSC notification).
• Hindi or Sanskrit up to Matric standard as a Haryana state requirement.
• Domicile and other conditions as listed in Advt. No. 23 of 2026.

For Lecturer (Information & Technology) (Advt. 19/2026)

• M.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology with at least 55% marks from a recognised university.
• Hindi or Sanskrit up to Matric standard.
• Two years teaching or research experience in Information & Technology.

Selection Process

1. Combined Subject Knowledge Test on 17 May 2026 — single written paper covering the syllabi of both posts as published on hpsc.gov.in.
2. Interview / Viva-voce for shortlisted candidates as per HPSC's standard procedure for each advertisement.
3. Document verification before final appointment to either the Haryana school education cadre (PGT) or the Development & Panchayats Department (Lecturer).

How to Get Your Admit Card

1. Visit the official portal at hpsc.gov.in regularly between now and 17 May 2026.
2. Open the "Notifications / Announcements" section and look for the announcement dated 27 April 2026.
3. Download both syllabus and exam pattern documents for Advt. 19/2026 and Advt. 23/2026 to plan your preparation.
4. When the admit card link goes live, log in with your registration number and date of birth to download and print it.
5. Carry the printed admit card and a valid photo ID to your exam centre on test day.
