Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC), a Navratna public sector company under the Ministry of Railways, is engaging Hospitality Monitors for its South Central Zone. The work covers mobile catering services and static kitchens, including services linked to Vande Bharat and tourist trains. This is a fixed-term engagement with travel duties, so you should be comfortable working across railway service locations.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract period: The initial engagement lasts two years. IRCTC may extend it by another year if it needs the services and your performance is satisfactory; the extension is conditional.
• Employment status: This contract gives you no right to regular or permanent employment with IRCTC. Read the fixed-term conditions as part of the offer before accepting the engagement.
• Deployment: Initial postings may be in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Odisha or Chhattisgarh. IRCTC can also post or deploy you elsewhere in India, and the work includes travelling on trains across the country.
• Notice period: Either side can end the contract with one month's notice. IRCTC can end it with fifteen days' notice if your performance during the engagement is unsatisfactory.
• Security and minimum service: You must provide the prescribed security deposit on selection. If you leave before completing the minimum service period of one year, the deposit may be forfeited.
• Truthful information: The engagement remains provisional until the relevant authorities clear your antecedents. False information or concealed material facts can lead to termination without notice or compensation.
• Government and PSU employees: The notice allows the proper-channel route, employer permission at the interview, or a proper relieving letter on selection. Plan your release from your current organisation accordingly.
• Changing requirements: IRCTC can amend or cancel the recruitment without advance notice. Its staffing requirements may also change before engagement, including the use of the reserve panel.
• Interview expenses: IRCTC will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending. If the interview extends beyond the scheduled day, you must arrange your own accommodation and meals.

The Hyderabad-area venue is IRCTC Ltd, 1st Floor, Oxford Plaza, Sarojini Devi Road, Secunderabad-500003. The interview session at each venue runs from 10:30 to 17:30; check the venue-specific dates in the interview schedule.

IRCTC will post any clarification or change to the interview arrangements on its official website. The notice says there will be no separate newspaper announcement, so check for updates before travelling.

• Monitor food preparation, quality and service in assigned train catering units.
• Inspect food production and quality in base kitchens, cluster kitchens and other assigned static units.
• Check catering equipment, pest control and pantry cleaning between round trips.
• Arrange adequate staffing and materials for assigned catering units.
• Resolve passenger complaints and use feedback to improve service.
• Follow hospitality procedures and applicable statutory requirements.
• Guide service staff on equipment care and coordinate with departments and business partners.
