Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has issued Notification No. 02/OG/PC/2026 dated 02 June 2026 for Assistant Environmental Engineer posts in the Telangana Pollution Control Board. This is a state-level recruitment, and selected candidates should be ready to work anywhere in Telangana. The selection is based on an objective type written examination conducted in CBRT or OMR mode.

Who Can Apply?

• Basic degree route: You must have a bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Bio-Technology, Mining, or Environmental Engineering from a recognised university or institution.
• Environmental PG route: You can also apply with B.E./B.Tech in any branch plus PG Degree in Environmental Engineering.
• AMIE route: Section A and B of AMIE (India) Civil Examination is also listed in the notification.
• Qualification date: Your required qualification result must be declared on or before 02 June 2026.
• Nationality: You must be a citizen of India.
• Local reservation: Local reservation is not applicable; selection is made on state-wide merit.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 44 years as on 01 July 2026.
• Minimum age: You should not be born after 01 July 2008.
• Maximum age: You should not be born before 02 July 1982.
• SC/ST/BC/EWS: 5 years relaxation.
• Physically Handicapped persons: 10 years relaxation.
• Telangana State Government Employees: Up to 5 years based on regular service.
• Ex-servicemen: 3 years plus length of service in the armed forces.
• NCC instructors: 3 years plus length of service rendered in NCC.

Salary

• Pay scale: Rs. 54,220 to Rs. 1,33,630 per month.
• Cadre: State Level post in Telangana Pollution Control Board.
• Allowances: Other allowances will apply as per Telangana Pollution Control Board and state government rules.

Application Fee

• OC and BC applicants: Online application processing fee of Rs. 1,000.
• SC, ST, and PwD applicants: Online application processing fee of Rs. 500.
• Examination fee: Rs. 120 for each applicant unless exempted.
• Unemployed applicants: Exempted from the examination fee.
• Government employees: Must pay the examination fee.
• Payment mode: Online through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

Selection Process

TGPSC will select applicants based on marks secured in the objective type examination. The Commission may conduct the exam in CBRT or OMR based offline mode, and hall tickets will confirm the mode.

Qualifying marks are 40% for OC, Sportspersons and EWS, 35% for BC, and 30% for SC, ST and PH applicants. If two or more applicants get the same total marks, TGPSC will use tie-breakers such as local status, date of birth, subject-paper marks, qualifying exam date, percentage, and higher qualification details.

Exam centres listed in the notification are Hyderabad including HMDA jurisdiction, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal, and Nizamabad. TGPSC can allot a different centre or change centres for administrative reasons, so you should check the hall ticket carefully before the exam.

1. Online Application and Fee Payment: Submit the notification-specific online form and pay the required fee.
2. Written Examination: Attend both papers of the objective exam. Appearance in all papers is compulsory.
3. Merit List: Selection is in order of merit against available vacancies.
4. Certificate Verification: TGPSC can verify original certificates at any stage.
5. Medical Fitness: Appointment is subject to being found medically fit and suitable for service.

How to Apply

1. Go to the TGPSC portal at tgpsc.gov.in.
2. If you are new, complete One Time Registration (OTR) and get your TGPSC ID.
3. Open the application link for Assistant Environmental Engineer in Telangana Pollution Control Board when it is active.
4. Log in with your TGPSC ID, date of birth, and OTP.
5. Check the details fetched from OTR and select your examination centre.
6. Preview the form, click save and payment, and pay the fee online.
7. Download the submitted PDF application and keep the Reference ID for future use.
8. Submit the form before 17 July 2026 at 5:00 PM.
