Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has released Notification No. 01/G/RB/2026 dated 02 June 2026 for Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) posts in the Engineer-in-Chief, Transport, Roads and Buildings Department. The posts are at Multi Zone cadre level and will follow Telangana reservation and local-candidate rules. This is a major Civil Engineering recruitment for candidates who want a state government engineering post in Telangana.

Who Can Apply?

• Educational qualification: You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university/institution in India.
• AMIE route: Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (A.M.I.E.) is also accepted as per the notification.
• Cut-off date: Your result for the required qualification must have been declared by 02 June 2026, the notification date.
• Distance education: Degrees through open or distance mode must be recognised by UGC, AICTE or the relevant statutory authority.
• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years as on 01 July 2026.
• Maximum age: 44 years as on 01 July 2026.
• Date limits: You should not be born after 01 July 2008 for minimum age, and should not be born before 02 July 1982 for maximum age.
• SC/ST/BC/EWS: 5 years upper-age relaxation.
• Persons with disabilities: 10 years upper-age relaxation.
• Telangana State Government employees: Up to 5 years based on regular service, as per rules.
• Ex-servicemen and NCC instructors: 3 years plus length of service, subject to the notification conditions.

Selection Process

Selection is through an objective type examination, either CBRT or OMR based as decided by TGPSC. The final selection will be based on marks secured in the examination and order of merit against available vacancies.

1. Online Application Scrutiny: TGPSC checks application details, OTR data and eligibility claims.
2. Objective Examination: Candidates must appear for all papers. Absence in any paper leads to disqualification.
3. Merit List: Qualifying marks are 40% for OC/Sports/EWS, 35% for BC, and 30% for SC/ST/PH.
4. Document Verification: Education, age, community, local status, reservation and other certificates are checked when called.
5. Final Selection: Selection follows merit rank, local status and other tie-break rules stated in the notification.

Exam Pattern

• Paper I: General Studies and General Abilities - 150 questions, 150 minutes, 150 marks.
• Paper II: Civil Engineering (Degree Level) - 150 questions, 150 minutes, 300 marks.
• Total: 300 questions, 300 minutes and 450 marks.
• Language: Paper I is bilingual in English and Telugu. Paper II is in English only.
• Mode: CBRT or OMR-based objective examination, as notified by TGPSC.
• Negative marking: The extracted scheme section does not state a negative-marking rule.

How to Apply

1. Go to the official TGPSC website at tgpsc.gov.in.
2. If you are applying through TGPSC for the first time, complete One Time Registration (OTR) and get your TGPSC ID.
3. Open the online application link for Notification No. 01/G/RB/2026.
4. Login with your TGPSC ID, date of birth and OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
5. Verify details fetched from OTR, including name, date of birth, education, community, gender, disability, ex-servicemen and sports details.
6. Select the examination centre, preview the form and click Save & Payment.
