ICMR-NITHR Project Technical Support - III Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

ICMR-National Institute for Tribal Health Research (ICMR-NITHR), Jabalpur has issued a Vacancy Notification (Advt. No. 03/2026-27) for 1 Project Technical Support - III post, reserved for SC category candidates, under the project "Study on anxiety and depression among sickle cell disease (SCD) patients". The post is purely temporary and co-terminous with the project — it will run for three months or till the outsourcing contract is finalised, whichever is earlier. Candidates from Anthropology, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Economics, Life Science, or Population Studies backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: A three-year graduate degree in a relevant subject/field with 3 years' post-qualification experience, OR a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject/field.
• Preferred subjects: Anthropology, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Economics, Life Science, or Population Studies. A PG in Biostatistics is also preferred.
• Preference: Candidates with higher qualifications, experience in rural/tribal areas, and knowledge of computer applications will be preferred.
• Category: This post is reserved for SC (Scheduled Caste) candidates. If no eligible SC candidate is available, the post may be filled from other categories as per the selection committee's recommendation.
• Candidates already working in a regular time-scale post under any Government Department or Organization are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit

• Your age should not exceed 35 years as on the date of the walk-in interview (22 July 2026).
• Age Relaxation: SC category candidates get a relaxation of 5 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 28,000 per month plus 20% House Rent Allowance (HRA).
• The consolidated pay may vary from time to time as per project requirements.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written test for this post — selection is done at the walk-in interview itself:

1. Document Verification: Bring your filled application form along with copies of certificates for verification.
2. Interview: Eligible candidates are interviewed on the spot at ICMR-NITHR, Jabalpur.

Only candidates who report on time will be allowed to appear for the interview — late applications will not be considered. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

This position is purely temporary and gives you no claim to a regular appointment under ICMR or ICMR-NITHR. If you have previously worked on an ICMR project, you may get an age relaxation of up to 5 years (or your completed project service, whichever is less) as per ICMR guidelines.
