RailTel Cyber Security Expert Recruitment 2026: Overview

RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RailTel), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, is hiring a Cyber Security Expert on contract for its MPSEDC DC DR project in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The post is part of the experienced technical team RailTel is building for this data centre and disaster recovery work, and it is filled from the open market rather than from RailTel's own staff. The engagement runs for five years or until the project is complete, whichever comes first.

Selection is through a walk-in interview held both offline and online, followed by a medical examination. If you hold a recognised security certification such as CISSP or CISA and have hands-on security experience, this is a long project tenure in a central PSU.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Reservation: The post is reserved for SC candidates. If no suitable SC candidate is found, RailTel may fill it with an unreserved candidate, as allowed for work-charge posts.
• Tentative posts: The number of posts can change with project needs. Candidates who clear selection are empanelled and brought in as the project actually requires.
• Tenure: Contract of 5 years or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier — there is no regular appointment.
• Experience rule: Only experience gained after your minimum qualification counts towards eligibility.
• Recognised institutions: Your degrees must come from a recognised university, deemed university or government-approved institution.
• Conduct: Canvassing in any form disqualifies you, and false, tampered or overwritten documents lead to rejection.
• Ineligible candidates: RailTel will not reply to candidates who are found ineligible or not shortlisted for the interview.
