IIFM Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), an autonomous academic institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, is filling three kinds of staff posts at its Bhopal campus on deputation. That means the posts are open only to officers already working on a regular basis in the Central Government, its autonomous bodies, or State and UT Governments. Selected officers move to IIFM for a fixed three-year term.

Posts and Disciplines

• Assistant Manager (Horticulture): the one specialist post in this notice, meant for horticulture officers with a Master's degree in Horticulture who either hold a similar post or have served regularly in a relevant post one level below.
• Senior Library and Information Assistant: library posts for officers who already hold a similar post on a regular basis.
• Assistant Grade I: the largest group in this notice — administrative posts for officers holding a similar post, or regular Assistants with service in the level below.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Deputation term: Each posting is for three years.
• Pay and facilities: Pay follows the 7th CPC, while allowances and other facilities follow IIFM's own rules.
• Who qualifies: Only regular officers of Central, State or UT Governments or Central autonomous bodies can apply; private-sector and contract staff are not covered.
• Age reference: The upper age limit is checked as on the date the advertisement was released.
• Right to fill: IIFM may choose not to fill any of the posts.
