Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is engaging a Guest Teacher in Urdu at Women's College for the academic session 2026-2027. This is a local, temporary teaching opportunity for someone who can take university-level Urdu classes and contribute to the academic work of the college. The engagement is paid per lecture and is not a regular faculty appointment.

The notice follows AMU's university teaching standards and accepts the prescribed Indian academic route as well as a qualifying doctorate from a highly ranked foreign institution. Your subject credentials must relate to Urdu, and the Department of Urdu's approved concerned, relevant and allied subject framework governs how those credentials are read.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Guest engagement: the role is tied to the stated academic session and should not be treated as a permanent appointment.
• Shortlisting: meeting the minimum academic standard does not automatically secure an interview call; AMU may limit the shortlist using its rules or a scrutiny committee.
• Interview updates: the eligible-candidate list and tentative interview schedule will be displayed on the Women's College website. No separate interview letter will be sent.
• Travel costs: AMU will not pay TA or DA to people called for the interview.
• Post status: the university may change the number or nature of the post by the interview stage and may correct, alter or cancel the advertisement.
• Record cut-off: qualifications and other conditions are assessed on the online submission deadline; later requests to add documents or information will not be accepted.
• Medical check: the university may ask the selected person to appear before its Internal Medical Board.

Complete the form through the AMU Careers Portal. After online submission, print the generated PDF on A4 paper, sign it, add a recent front-facing photograph and attach the supporting records specified in the notice.

The signed hard copy must reach The Principal, Women's College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh-202002 by 16 September 2026. On the top-left of the envelope, write the post applied for, the advertisement number and its date so the college can match the packet to the correct local recruitment.

Include self-attested copies rather than sending original certificates by post. The processing-fee receipt should be attached when a fee applies, while a PwD applicant claiming exemption must upload an authentic disability certificate in the prescribed format.
