NIT Patna JRF Chemical Science Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Institute of Technology Patna (NIT Patna), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, is holding a walk-in interview for one Project Associate (PA) / Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in its Department of Chemical Science and Technology. The position belongs to a research project sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), New Delhi, and led by Principal Investigator Dr. Subrata Das.

The project studies metallacalix[n]arene supramolecular complexes built with pyrimidine nucleobases and how they can be used in catalysis. Only Indian nationals can apply. If you have an M.Sc. in chemistry or a related branch along with a national test score, this is a funded route into research — and you may be allowed to join NIT Patna's Ph.D. programme if you meet its rules.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Fellowship rules: Selection follows ANRF's office memoranda ANRF/OM/N/01/2024 and SB/S9/Z-06/2019, which link the PA/JRF role to a CSIR/UGC NET (including LS/JRF) or GATE qualification.
• Duration: The position is for one year; upgradation depends on satisfactory performance.
• HRA: House Rent Allowance is paid as admissible under ANRF norms.
• Ph.D. option: You may register for a Ph.D. at NIT Patna, subject to the institute's eligibility criteria.
• No TA/DA: You travel to the interview at your own cost.
