CUH Technical Assistant (Computer) Recruitment 2026: Overview

Central University of Haryana (CUH), the central university set up by an Act of Parliament in 2009 at Mahendergarh, Haryana, is recruiting Technical Assistant (Computer) staff on a regular, direct-recruitment basis under Advertisement No. 02/NT/R/2026. It is a Group C non-teaching post, and the openings are reserved for OBC and SC candidates, so the notice lists no unreserved seat this time. You need a computer science or IT degree plus real work experience; fresh graduates without experience do not qualify.

Only Indian nationals can apply, and the whole process runs through the university's Samarth non-teaching portal. If you already handle labs, servers or IT support at a university, research body, government office or a large private company, this is a chance to move into a permanent central university job.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• No interview: Following the Ministry of Education (then MHRD) letter of 22 December 2015, CUH holds no interview for Group B and Group C posts. The written test and skill test follow university norms.
• Private-sector experience: Experience in a private firm counts only if the firm has an annual turnover of at least Rs. 200 crore. Experience at universities, research bodies, central or state government, PSUs and autonomous bodies also counts.
• Reserved-category proof: You must attach your caste/class certificate (and disability certificate for PwBD) in the Government of India format, or the application is rejected.
• Relaxed standards: If you are selected using any relaxed standard (age, experience, qualification), you are counted against the reserved vacancy.
• Already in service: Apply through proper channel with a vigilance clearance certificate. If your employer has not forwarded it by the test date, bring an NOC and vigilance clearance in a sealed cover; otherwise you may be treated as a fresh candidate with an undertaking. You can join only after showing a relieving order.
• Pension: Selected staff come under the New Pension Scheme.
• Posting: You can be posted anywhere within the university's jurisdiction.
• Probation: As per university norms.
• Verification: Appointment depends on checks of character, antecedents, qualifications, experience and medical fitness.
• Waiting list: CUH may keep a panel of waiting candidates to fill a post if the selected person does not join.
• Fee refund: If CUH withdraws the advertisement, the fee is refunded within a reasonable time.
• Disputes: Legal disputes fall under the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

Application Submission Notes

Apply only on the CUH Samarth non-teaching portal (cuhnt.samarth.edu.in); the portal stops taking forms at 5:00 PM on the closing day. Fill a separate form for each post you apply for, and double-check your entries — CUH decides eligibility from what you type and will not accept changes later.

• Call letters for the written or skill test come only by email or on the university website, so keep your email active.
• Any addendum or corrigendum will appear only on the CUH website.
• Carry all original certificates to the test; without them you may not be allowed to sit it.
