AMU Senior Resident and Tutor Anatomy Recruitment 2026: Overview

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is filling Senior Resident/Tutor posts in the Department of Anatomy at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), part of the university's Faculty of Medicine in Aligarh. These are temporary teaching posts filled through a Local Selection Committee under local advertisement FM/41/2026, so the whole process is quick: a short online window, a posted hard copy and a single interview day.

Doctors who meet the National Medical Commission (NMC) norms and the Residency Scheme adopted by AMU can apply. Along with Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders registered under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955 are also welcome.

One advertised line covers two titles. You can join as a Senior Resident or as a Tutor; both sit at the same academic pay level, but the Tutor post comes without Non-Practising Allowance (NPA).

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Temporary engagement: AMU can end the appointment at any time without notice or giving a reason.
• Qualification standard: Eligibility follows NMC norms and the AMU Residency Scheme; your qualifications and experience are judged as on the last date of submitting the application.
• Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee an interview; a scrutiny committee may shortlist a reasonable number of applicants.
• Number of posts: The number and nature of posts can change by the time of the interview.
• Medical check: Selected doctors may be examined by the university's Internal Medical Board.
• PwD applicants: You need at least 40% disability and a certificate on the Appendix-I proforma from the Careers Portal; the university's Medical Board checks the claim before an appointment letter is issued.
• Marks relaxation: Any relaxation in percentage of marks follows Government of India rules, where applicable.
• No late additions: You cannot add documents or details to your form after the last date.
• Amendments: Any corrigendum is published only on the AMU Careers Portal, so check it regularly.

Application Submission Notes

Fill the form online at the AMU Careers Portal and pay the processing fee there; the online window closes at 11:59 PM on the last date. Then print the PDF of the form on A4 paper, sign it, paste a recent front-facing photo, and attach self-attested copies of your documents.

Send this hard copy by post to The Dean, J. N. Medical College, Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh-202002, writing the post name, advertisement number and its date on the top-left of the envelope. It must reach by 14 November 2026, 4:00 PM; AMU is not responsible for postal delays.

The Local Selection Committee meets on 23 November 2026 at 12:30 PM in the Dean's office, Faculty of Medicine.
