All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur, an apex healthcare institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY), has released a rolling advertisement (No. RC/F-R/1/2026 dated 13.04.2026) for 92 faculty posts across 36 clinical and non-clinical departments. This includes backlog vacancies of SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories. Both medical and non-medical candidates can apply (non-medical only for Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Physiology).

Who Can Apply?

For Medical Candidates (All Posts)

• You must have a medical qualification listed in Schedule I & II or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• You need a Postgraduate degree (MD/MS) in the respective discipline. Registration with State or National Medical Register is required.
• For Surgical/Medical super-specialties: M.Ch. or D.M. in the respective discipline (2/3/5 year recognised course).

For Non-Medical Candidates (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Physiology only)

• M.Sc. in the relevant medical subject + PhD from a recognised Medical College/Institute as a regular on-campus course.

Experience Required (After PG Qualification)

• Professor: 14 years (MD/MS) or 12 years (DM/M.Ch. 5 yr) or 11 years (DM/M.Ch. 3 yr) of teaching/research experience.
• Additional Professor: 10 years (MD/MS) or 8 years (DM/M.Ch.) or 7 years (3 yr DM/M.Ch.).
• Associate Professor: 6 years (MD/MS) or 4 years (DM/M.Ch.) or 3 years (3 yr DM/M.Ch.).
• Assistant Professor: 3 years (MD/MS) or 1 year (DM/M.Ch.); no experience needed for 3 yr DM/M.Ch. holders.

Age Limit

• Professor / Additional Professor: Maximum 58 years as on the cut-off date.
• Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: Maximum 50 years as on 15 May 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years; OBC-NCL – 3 years; PwBD & Ex-servicemen – as per Govt. of India rules; regular Central Government employees with 3 years continuous service – 5 years.
• Note: Age relaxation does not apply to employees of autonomous bodies, State Governments, or PSUs.

Salary

• Professor: Pay Level 14A — Rs. 1,68,900 to Rs. 2,20,400 per month
• Additional Professor: Pay Level 13A2+ — Rs. 1,48,200 to Rs. 2,11,400 per month
• Associate Professor: Pay Level 13A1+ — Rs. 1,38,300 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month
• Assistant Professor: Pay Level 12 — Rs. 1,01,500 to Rs. 1,67,400 per month
• Plus usual allowances as per the Institute norms including Non-Practising Allowance (NPA) as applicable.

Application Fee

• General / OBC: Rs. 3,000
• SC / ST: Rs. 2,400 (refundable for those who appear in the interview)
• PwBD: Exempted (No fee)
• Payment mode: Online/digital only. Other modes are not accepted.
• Note: Fee paid by UR/OBC candidates is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is purely interview-based with shortlisting:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on educational qualification, relevant experience, and category as decided by the Director, AIIMS Raipur.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce all original documents before the interview.
3. Interview by Standing Selection Committee: Conducted at AIIMS Raipur or any other place decided by the Director. You must score the minimum qualifying marks (suitability standard) to be considered.
4. Medical Fitness: Final appointment is subject to being declared medically fit by the competent Medical Board.

You may use Hindi or English in the selection process. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.

• Conduct independent and collaborative research and publish papers in peer-reviewed medical journals
• Participate in academic activities — clinical meetings, journal clubs, conferences, and CME programmes
• Take part in hospital administration, departmental committees, and curriculum development
