TMC Senior Resident Onco-Anaesthesia Recruitment 2026: Overview

Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), a grant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, is hiring Senior Residents in Onco-Anaesthesia for its Department of Anaesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain. TMC's Academics Department issued the notice, but the doctors it selects will be placed at Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (HBCH&RC), New Chandigarh, Punjab. That is TMC's cancer hospital at Mullanpur, near Mohali.

This is a one-year residency on a fixed term, filled through a rolling walk-in. Interviews run on every working day until the posts are filled, so the seats can go before the closing date shown on the TMC website. If you have finished your MD in Anaesthesiology and want experience in anaesthesia and critical care for cancer patients, this residency is worth adding to your CV.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The appointment lasts one year from the date of joining. TMC may offer it as a fixed-term engagement on consolidated pay.
• Place of work: Candidates who agree to work at HBCH&RC, New Chandigarh get preference.
• Rotation: You can be moved to any TMC unit when it needs you: Tata Memorial Hospital (Mumbai), ACTREC (Navi Mumbai), HBCH Sangrur, HBCH&RC Mullanpur, HBCH&RC Visakhapatnam, MPMMCC and HBCH Varanasi, or BBCI Guwahati.
• Pay depends on experience: Your pay is fixed based on the relevant experience you gained after the essential qualification. DM/DrNB/MCh holders are paid at the higher Specialist Senior Resident rate.
• Government employees: If you work for a central or state government office, autonomous body or PSU, bring permission from your head of organisation to the interview. Without it, you will not be allowed to appear.
• Shortlisting: TMC can set a minimum benchmark, such as marks in your graduate or postgraduate degree, and limit how many candidates it interviews. The Director of HBCH&RC Punjab has the final say.
• Accommodation: Senior Residents may get shared accommodation on a paid basis, but only if rooms are available.
• Honesty and canvassing: False or hidden information cancels your candidature, even after you join. Any form of canvassing also disqualifies you.
• Legal jurisdiction: Any dispute goes to the courts at SAS Nagar.
