IGKV Guest Teacher Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV), the state agricultural university of Chhattisgarh, needs a Guest Teacher in Agricultural Statistics for its Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi College of Agriculture and Research Station, Chhuikhadan in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district. You will teach the statistics courses of the B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) programme for one academic session. This is a purely temporary guest engagement, not a regular faculty post.

The daily pay depends on your qualification. Ph.D. holders and NET-qualified candidates get a higher rate than candidates with only a master's degree. The interview is held in Raipur, not at the Chhuikhadan campus, so plan your travel early.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement lasts one academic session or until a regular teacher joins, whichever comes first.
• No claim to a regular post: Being selected as a guest teacher gives you no right to a permanent appointment at IGKV.
• NET exemption for Ph.D. holders: You can skip NET only if your Ph.D. included course work as per the UGC Regulations 2009 and you have two full-length papers with a NAAS rating of at least 4. A Ph.D. without course work does not qualify for the exemption.
• Fallback for PG candidates: If no eligible candidate turns up, the college may engage a post-graduate candidate as a part-time teacher on a period basis for one semester, with approval from the competent authority.
• Performance: Your services can be ended with one week's notice if your work is found unsatisfactory. False credentials lead to removal.
• Travel cost: No TA or DA is paid for attending the interview.
• Selection norms: The committee follows the university's 2019 guidelines, and any canvassing disqualifies you.
• Affidavit: After selection, you sign an affidavit on Rs. 50 stamp paper accepting the university's terms.

The interview takes place at the College of Agriculture, IGKV, Raipur from 11:00 am. Bring all your original documents, or you will not be allowed to sit the interview.
