CMHO Dantewada Paediatrician Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Office of the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Dakshin Bastar Dantewada in Chhattisgarh is hiring a Paediatrician (Shishu Rog Visheshagya) for the District Hospital run by the state Health Department. The post is funded from the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) for the 2026-27 financial year, with approval from the District Collector, to keep specialist child-health services running smoothly.

This is a contract appointment under the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Contract Appointment) Rules 2012, and the selection happens through a virtual interview, so you do not need to travel to Dantewada to be considered. If you hold an MD or DNB in Paediatrics and are open to working in Bastar, this is a well-paid specialist role.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Temporary contract: The appointment is fully temporary; either side can end it with one month's notice or one month's pay in place of notice.
• Service agreement: After joining you sign a one-year agreement; breaking it means a recovery of Rs. 5,00,000.
• Medical council registration: You must submit your Chhattisgarh Medical Council registration within three months of joining.
• Pay terms: The pay is negotiable, but no other allowance, incentive or CRMC amount is paid on top of it, and there is no pension after the contract ends.
• Headquarters: You must live at the place of posting; commuting from another town is not allowed and can end your service. No transfers are given under these rules.
• No claim on regular posts: The contract gives you no right to a regular state government post.
• Fitness at joining: You need a health fitness certificate from the District Medical Board; an unfit report cancels the appointment.
• Experience and conduct: Only experience from government or semi-government institutions counts, and anyone removed or blacklisted for misconduct cannot be selected.
• Changes: The number of posts may change, or the advertisement may be cancelled in full or in part.
