AIIMS Raipur iKMC Project Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur (AIIMS Raipur) is hiring a Research Officer, a Lab Technician and a Field Worker for the BMGF-funded iKMC multicentric study, which is run from the institute's Department of Paediatrics. The posts are split between the Microbiology Department at AIIMS Raipur and the district hospitals at Rajnandgaon and Kondagaon in Chhattisgarh. This is contractual project work, not a regular AIIMS job. The first term is six months, and it can run for up to 2.5 more years if your work is good and the project needs you.

Together the three roles cover the study's whole sample chain. The Research Officer runs the project at a hospital site, the Field Worker moves samples from the district centres, and the Lab Technician processes them in Raipur. Post-wise Duties

Research Officer

You will run the study at the Rajnandgaon district hospital site. You will work with the nursing officers, the data entry operator and the field workers so the project runs smoothly every day, and you will handle project tasks given by the Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-PI.

Lab Technician

You will work in the Microbiology Department at AIIMS Raipur. You will check that every sample that arrives is adequate, and you will send reports on time to the PI and to the centres that sent the samples. You will also stay in touch with the field workers so samples reach AIIMS without delay.

Field Worker

Your main job is the daily transfer of samples from the peripheral centres to AIIMS Raipur. You will also help the research officers and the lab technician with sample processing.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: Six months at first, extendable by up to 2.5 more years based on your performance and the project's needs.
• Not on AIIMS payroll: These posts are not on the AIIMS Raipur pay roll and end automatically when the project ends. You cannot claim a permanent job later because of this work.
• Posting centre: You can state a preferred centre, but the Principal Investigator takes the final call. You may be moved to another unit if the project needs it.
• Written test: Selection is through an interview. A written test is added only if more than 50 eligible candidates apply for a single post.
• Travel: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
• Updates: The eligible list, the interview or test schedule and the results go up on the AIIMS Raipur website. No separate letters are sent; selected candidates are told by email.

This is an offline, speed-post-only application. Use the application form printed at the end of the notification, type it, sign it, and pin two recent self-signed passport-size colour photos on the first page. Do not change the serial order or column headings; add extra sheets as annexures if you need more space.
