SAIL BSP Advisor Recruitment 2026: Overview

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), through its flagship Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh, wants experienced retired hands to work as Advisor/Consultant for the HR - Canteen Services Department. This is not an open recruitment — only former SAIL executives who have superannuated from the company can apply. Your years inside SAIL are the main qualification here.

The plant runs 50 canteens inside its premises, and the advisor will guide the department on food quality, hygiene and statutory compliance across all of them. If you spent your career in HR, employee welfare or administration and know food-safety rules well, this is a chance to return to the plant in an advisory role.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Who qualifies: Only ex-executives who retired from SAIL after serving in Grade E3 to E6. Your monthly fee is fixed by the grade you held at the time of separation.
• Performance record: You must not have received a 'C' grading in your last three years of SAIL service before retirement.
• Fitness: You must be physically and mentally fit for the work and attach a medical certificate with your application.
• Clean record: An ongoing disciplinary or vigilance proceeding at the time of engagement or extension rules you out. SAIL wants a good service record.
• Age reference: The upper age limit is checked on the date the offer of engagement or extension is issued, so it applies again at every renewal.
• Tenure: The first term is six months, and it can be extended for another six months.
• Extra assignments: Apart from canteen work, the Head of HR (Works) can give you other tasks from time to time.
• Benefits: Any benefits beyond the monthly fee follow SAIL's own guidelines for advisors and consultants.
