AIIMS Raipur State Newborn Care Quality Manager Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur (AIIMS Raipur) is looking for a State Newborn Care Quality Manager for its Department of Pediatrics. The post sits inside the project Improving Maternal and Newborn Health Care, a quality improvement (QI) programme that AIIMS Raipur runs with UNICEF Raipur to lift the standard of mother and newborn care in Chhattisgarh.

This is a contractual project post, not a regular AIIMS job. You will give technical support for database management, supportive supervision and daily telerounds of newborn units under the QI package. If you are a pediatrician with a strong hand at data work and you enjoy field coordination, this role suits you.

Who you will report to

Your day-to-day supervisor is the Principal Investigator of the QI project at AIIMS Raipur, while technical reporting goes to the Health Specialist, UNICEF Raipur. Your duty station is AIIMS Raipur, but the work also needs local and outstation travel whenever the supervisor asks for it.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The first contract runs for two months from the day you join, and the estimated period is November to December 2026. It ends on its own when the two months are over.
• Extension: The contract can be stretched by up to 12 more months, depending on your performance, project need and the availability of funds.
• Not on AIIMS payroll: The job gives you no claim to permanent employment at AIIMS Raipur or with the principal investigator.
• Language: You need a good command of English and Hindi, since the work involves district teams and written reports.
• Travel to interview: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
• Written test: A written test is held only if more than 50 eligible candidates apply for the post; otherwise the interview decides selection.
