AIIMS Raipur Project Technical Support-I Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur (AIIMS Raipur) is hiring a Project Technical Support-I in its Department of Microbiology. The post supports a research study that is testing TB-RAP, a rapid, non-invasive diagnostic platform that detects active pulmonary tuberculosis from saliva and sputum samples. The project is funded by IIT DRISHTI CPS, and the job is purely contractual, so it suits a lab technician or science graduate who already has hands-on microbiology or TB lab experience.

Your work will be split between the Microbiology laboratory and the Pulmonary Medicine OPD, where you will collect samples from patients suspected to have TB. Experience with GeneXpert, CBNAAT, TruNat or PCR machines, smear microscopy, MGIT culture and LPA will help your application stand out.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract length: You first get a three-month contract. It can be extended as the project needs, up to a total of six months, only if the principal investigator recommends it.
• Not on AIIMS payroll: The post is not an AIIMS Raipur appointment. It ends automatically when the tenure is over, and you cannot claim a permanent job on the basis of it.
• Distance degrees: Qualifications earned through distance education are not considered.
• Written screening: If more than 30 eligible candidates apply, a written screening test is held and only the top 10 scorers are called for the interview.
• Travel costs: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
• Working staff: If you work for a government organisation now, attach a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer.
