Janpad Panchayat Darbha in Bastar district, Chhattisgarh, is filling Gram Rozgar Sahayak (Employment Assistant) posts on contract in these gram panchayats of the block: Pakhnar, Koleng, Chitapur, Chingpal, Chidpal, Katenar and Chandragiri. The drive follows letters from the office of the Commissioner, Viksit Bharat Rozgar and Ajeevika Guarantee Mission (Rural) (VB-G RAM G), Nava Raipur, and the state's Panchayat and Rural Development Department.

This is a truly local job — only original residents of the gram panchayat where the post is vacant can apply. Selection is on merit, built from your exam marks, rural-scheme experience and a computer diploma or data entry experience, so there is no written test.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Residence: The selected candidate must be a resident of the same gram panchayat. If no eligible person applies from a panchayat, the post goes to a same-category candidate from elsewhere in Darbha Janpad on merit.
• Reserved posts: If no ex-serviceman or disabled candidate is available, other categories may be taken; if no SC/ST woman is available, a man from the same category will be selected.
• Disability: These are field posts, so 100 percent disability is not accepted.
• Tenure: The appointment is purely temporary for one year and, as the notice states, runs up to 28 February 2027. It may be extended by a year based on your annual performance appraisal, with both sides agreeing.
• Service rules: You will be governed by the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Contract Appointment) Rules 2012 for leave and the Conduct Rules 1965.
• Exit and benefits: Either side can end the contract with one month's notice or one month's pay; no pension, gratuity or death benefit is given for contract service.
• Personal conditions: You cannot be appointed if you married before the legal minimum age, married someone who already has a living spouse, or have more than two living children with one born on or after 26 January 2001.
• Past record: Anyone earlier removed from a post for indiscipline or irregularity by the Chhattisgarh Livelihood Promotion Society or any government department is not eligible.
• Court case: The advertisement and appointments remain subject to a writ petition on reservation pending before the High Court at Bilaspur.
• Disputes: The District Collector decides any dispute; you can appeal to the Commissioner, VB-G RAM G, Raipur.
