Yantra India Limited (YIL) Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Yantra India Limited (YIL), under the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, has released a notification for the 59th Batch Trade Apprentice Recruitment. This is a great chance for Class 10 pass and ITI holders to get training in defence factories across India.

There are a total of 3,979 vacancies in 33 ordnance factories across 9 states. The apprenticeship is under the Apprentice Act, 1961.

Who Can Apply?

Non-ITI Apprentice

• You must have passed Class 10 with at least 50% marks
• You need at least 40% marks in both Maths and Science

Ex-ITI Apprentice

• You must have passed Class 10 with at least 50% marks
• You must have an ITI certificate from NCVT or SCVT with at least 50% marks

Note: Candidates who already hold a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) are NOT eligible to apply.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 14 years (18 years for hazardous trades)
• Maximum age: 35 years (for all categories as per NAPS-2)
• Age counted as on: 03-03-2026

Monthly Stipend

• Non-ITI Apprentice: Rs 8,200 per month
• Ex-ITI Apprentice: Rs 9,600 per month

No other allowances will be given during the apprenticeship period.

Application Fee

• UR/OBC: Rs 200 + GST
• SC/ST/Women/PwD/Transgender: Rs 100 + GST
• Free: If you pay using UPI or RuPay Debit Card, there is no fee

Selection Process

There is no written exam for this recruitment. Selection is purely based on merit.

• Non-ITI: Merit list will be based on your Class 10 marks percentage
• Ex-ITI: Merit list will be based on the simple average of your Class 10 marks and ITI marks (you need at least 50% in each)

After the merit list, shortlisted candidates will go through document verification and then a medical examination.

5. Pay the application fee online
6. Submit the form and take a printout for your records

• Attend all training sessions and practical workshops regularly
• Complete assignments and tasks given during the apprenticeship period
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area properly
• Follow the rules of the Apprentice Act, 1961 during the entire training period
