Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya (RDVV), Jabalpur — a NAAC "A" grade university in Madhya Pradesh — has released advertisement number Estt/2026/6149 dated 22 May 2026 to fill 28 regular Assistant Professor posts. These posts are spread across 16 departments including Bio Science, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Hindi, History, MBA and more. "W" means the post is reserved for women candidates. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC is only for candidates with Madhya Pradesh domicile.

Who Can Apply?

You must meet the UGC Regulations 2018 minimum qualification for Assistant Professor in the department you are applying for.

• Qualification: A good academic record with at least 55% marks in your Master's degree (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD) in the relevant subject, along with NET/SLET/SET.
• Ph.D holders are exempted from NET/SET as per UGC norms.
• Allied subjects: Candidates with a postgraduate degree in an allied or relevant subject are also eligible — but you must have passed the advertised main subject at graduation level.
• Domicile: Reservation and fee relaxation for SC/ST/OBC categories applies only to Madhya Pradesh domicile holders. SC/ST/OBC candidates from other states are treated as Unreserved.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get pay under Academic Pay Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• The starting basic pay at Level 10 is around Rs. 57,700 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Madhya Pradesh Government and UGC rules.

Application Fee

• Unreserved (UR) posts: Rs. 1,000
• Reserved posts (SC/ST/OBC with MP domicile): Rs. 500
• Divyang (PwD) candidates: No fee (full exemption on submission of valid Disability Certificate, minimum 40% disability)
• Pay through Demand Draft (DD) only, in favour of Registrar, Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur
• Submit a separate application along with the fee for each post you apply for.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam. Selection is based on your academic score and an interview, as per UGC Regulation 2018 Table 3A:

1. Academic Score (80 marks): Graduation marks (up to 15), Post-Graduation marks (up to 25), M.Phil + Ph.D (up to 30), and NET/JRF/SET (up to 7).
2. Research Publications (10 marks): 2 marks for each paper published in a peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journal.
3. Teaching / Post-Doctoral Experience (10 marks): 2 marks for each year of experience.
4. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview, and the final merit is decided by the university.

The total academic shortlisting score adds up to 100 marks. The number of candidates called for interview is decided by the university.

2. Fill in the form and attach self-attested copies of all certificates, mark sheets, and a Demand Draft for the fee.
3. SC/ST/OBC/EWS and Divyang candidates must attach caste, domicile, income (OBC-NCL) and disability certificates issued by a competent authority of MP.
4. Superscribe the envelope as "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR" along with the department name.
5. Send the complete application by Speed Post / Registered Post only to: Registrar, Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh - 482001.
6. Make sure it reaches the university on or before 25 June 2026. Applications by hand or courier will not be accepted.
