The College of Agriculture, Vellayani under Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) has announced a walk-in interview to fill 1 Assistant Professor post in Animal Husbandry on a contract basis. This is a walk-in interview — there is no online application form, so you just have to reach the venue with your documents on the interview day. The job is for a maximum of one year and is open to candidates with a veterinary and animal husbandry background.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science.
• You must also have a Master's Degree in Livestock Production Management or in any discipline of Animal Husbandry or Veterinary Science with at least 55% marks.
• You need a NET qualification. If you hold a Ph.D. degree, you are exempt from NET.

If no candidates with NET or a Ph.D. turn up, candidates holding only a Master's degree in the relevant discipline will also be considered.

Age Limit

• You must not have completed 50 years of age as on 1 January 2026.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 44,100 per month (maximum).
• The pay is subject to University orders and directions. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

Selection Process

Selection is done through a walk-in interview:

1. Document Verification: Bring your original certificates, mark lists, ID proof, caste/reservation documents, research publications, and teaching/experience certificates along with self-attested copies.
2. Interview: The interview starts after your certificates are checked.
3. Written Test (if needed): If more than 25 candidates turn up, a written test may be held before the interview.

Appointment follows the Kerala PSC rotation system for reservation. If candidates from a specific category are not available, others will also be considered.
