BRIC-Institute of Life Sciences (BRIC-ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology under the Ministry of Science and Technology, is hiring a Project Associate-II. The post sits in an ICMR-funded project studying the role of Nuclear Receptor Co-repressor 1 (NCoR1) in Mycobacterium tuberculosis pathogenesis, so the work is about how the TB bacterium causes disease.

This is a project-linked contract job at the Bhubaneswar campus, open to Indian nationals. It suits you if you hold a master's in natural or agricultural sciences, an MVSc, or a professional bachelor's degree, and already have research experience after your degree. Experience in NGS data analysis (RNA-seq and single-cell data) along with some wet-lab work is what the project team would like to see.

• Tenure: The position is purely temporary and coterminous with the ICMR project, so it ends when the project ends.
• Pay depends on national exams: Candidates who have cleared a national-level test such as CSIR-UGC NET, GATE or a DBT/DST exam get the higher pay slab; others are paid the lower slab, both with HRA.
