Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) Project Associate II Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) has opened 1 Project Associate II post in the Department of Atmospheric Science, School of Earth Sciences. This is a temporary research position under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) Advance Research Grant project that studies how open burning of plastic waste affects air pollution and climate change over India. The work is guided by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Jai Prakash. If you have a science or engineering background and some research experience, this is a strong chance to work on real air-quality research.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a four-year Bachelor's degree in Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science or Engineering, OR a Master's degree in Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science, Meteorology, Chemistry or Geophysics from a recognised university.
• Marks: You should have at least 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in both your Bachelor's and Master's degree.
• Experience: You need 2 years of R&D experience in industrial or academic institutions, or in science and technology organisations.

Extra Skills That Help (Desirable)

• You have cleared CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
• You were selected through a national-level exam conducted by a Central Government department or agency.
• You have done on-field emission measurement or air-quality monitoring and chemical characterisation using analytical instruments.
• You know how to analyse air-quality data using R, MATLAB, Python and GrADS.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years as on the date of the advertisement.

Salary

• You will get a monthly fellowship of Rs. 33,000 per month plus HRA.
• The pay follows ANRF and University rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam. Selection works like this:

1. Shortlisting: CURAJ will go through all CVs and shortlist candidates who match the qualification and experience.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an offline or online interview in the Department of Atmospheric Science at the CURAJ campus. The date will be told by email. No TA/DA is given for attending the interview.
3. Document Verification: You must bring all original certificates and experience certificates at the time of the interview and joining.
