VNSGU Temporary Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026

Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat has invited online applications for 75 Temporary Assistant Professor / Teaching Assistant / Tutor posts on a contract basis. These posts are spread across 17 university departments under the Grant-in-Aid (GIA) category. VNSGU is a NAAC B++ accredited university.

This is a temporary appointment for 11 months (up to the end of the second term of Academic Year 2026-27), or until a regular candidate joins, whichever is earlier.

Qualification

You need a Master's Degree in the concerned, allied, or relevant subject with minimum eligibility as per UGC Notification 2018 (NET/SET/Ph.D. where applicable).

Salary

Consolidated salary of Rs. 40,000 per month. No PF, Gratuity, LTC, or Medical benefits.

Selection Process

No written exam. Selection based on Interview and Document Verification.

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in the assigned university department
• Prepare course materials, lesson plans, and assignments as per the university syllabus
• Conduct tutorials, practical sessions, and seminars for students
• Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, and internal assessments
• Carry out research work and contribute to academic publications
• Attend department meetings and follow university guidelines
• Remain present during working hours (10:30 AM to 5:30 PM) on all working days
