VNSGU Project Fellow Recruitment 2026: Overview

Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat is hiring a CRS Project Fellow (Junior) for a research project sponsored by the UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research (UGC-DAE-CSR). The project sits in the Department of Chemistry under Principal Investigator Dr. Sushma P. Ijardar, Assistant Professor.

The research looks at how deep eutectic solvent-based aqueous three-phase systems (A3PS) work, with the aim of selectively recovering polyphenols. It is a purely contractual project position, which makes it a good fit for a recent Chemistry postgraduate who wants hands-on research work and a possible path into a PhD.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The first offer is for one year. It can be extended up to three years if your progress is satisfactory and UGC-DAE-CSR approves.
• Time at UGC-DAE CSR: The person selected is expected to spend a substantial amount of time at UGC-DAE CSR, not only at the Surat campus.
• PhD option: You can also apply for the VNSGU PhD programme if you meet its eligibility rules.
• Joining: You must join immediately after receiving the offer.
• Interview: Held at the Department of Chemistry, VNSGU, Surat. No TA/DA is paid for attending. Bring original certificates, mark sheets and age proof.
• Rules: The terms follow UGC-DAE CSR and VNSGU guidelines, and the university may decide not to fill the position.
