Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) has released notification for 75 Temporary Assistant Professor posts across 17 departments. Candidates with a Master's Degree and UGC eligibility (NET/SET/Ph.D.) can apply online. Salary is Rs. 40,000 per month (consolidated). Last date to apply is 26-03-2026. Contract period is 11 months.

Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat has invited online applications for 75 Temporary Assistant Professor / Teaching Assistant / Tutor posts on a contract basis. These posts are spread across 17 university departments under the Grant-in-Aid (GIA) category. VNSGU is a NAAC B++ accredited university.

This is a temporary appointment for 11 months (up to the end of the second term of Academic Year 2026-27), or until a regular candidate joins, whichever is earlier.

Salary

Consolidated salary of Rs. 40,000 per month. No PF, Gratuity, LTC, or Medical benefits.

Selection Process

No written exam. Selection based on Interview and Document Verification.

  • Prepare course materials, lesson plans, and assignments as per the university syllabus
  • Conduct tutorials, practical sessions, and seminars for students
  • Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, and internal assessments
  • Carry out research work and contribute to academic publications
  • Attend department meetings and follow university guidelines
  • Remain present during working hours (10:30 AM to 5:30 PM) on all working days
