Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL) is looking to empanel 2 Consultant (Civil) professionals for its Civil Works Panel at the Head Office in New Delhi. This is a contract-based engagement with a daily honorarium of Rs. 5,000 (all inclusive). The last date to submit your application is 14 April 2026. You need a B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with at least 20 years of professional experience.

SPMCIL Consultant (Civil) Recruitment 2026 -- 2 Posts

SPMCIL is a Miniratna Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise, wholly owned by the Government of India. It operates under the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance. The company handles designing, manufacturing security papers, printing currency and bank notes, passports, non-judicial stamp papers, postage stamps, and minting coins. SPMCIL has 9 operational units across the country -- four Mints (Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Noida), four Currency and Security Presses (Nashik, Dewas, Hyderabad), and a paper manufacturing mill at Narmadapuram. Through this advertisement (Advt. No. 03/2026), SPMCIL wants to build a panel of experienced civil engineering consultants who can be called upon on a day-to-day need basis.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Essential: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) from a recognized university or institution in India
• Preferred: Postgraduate qualification (M.E./M.Tech) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or Infrastructure Engineering

Experience

• Minimum 20 years of professional experience in civil engineering works in India
• Experience preferably in Central/State Government Departments, PSUs, Autonomous bodies, or Government-funded institutions
• Must have handled at least 5 projects worth Rs. 10 Crore or above, preferably for government departments or PSUs
• Should have held senior positions such as Superintending Engineer, Executive Engineer, General Manager (Civil), or Additional General Manager (Civil)

Technical Knowledge Required

• Project planning and design
• Preparation and review of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs)
• Cost estimates, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and technical specifications
• Supervision and monitoring of construction activities
• Site inspections and technical evaluations
• Working knowledge of GFR, CPWD Works Manual, CVC procurement guidelines, and standard bidding documents

Other Requirements

• Must be medically fit and capable of undertaking field visits and technical inspections
• Retired government servants or PSU employees must have a clean service record with no pending vigilance/disciplinary cases
• Must not have been dismissed, removed, or compulsorily retired due to disciplinary action
• Private applicants must not have been blacklisted by any government department

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 65 years (preferably) as on 14 April 2026

Salary

• Honorarium: Rs. 5,000 per day (all inclusive, flat rate)
• For outstation travel (with prior approval), SPMCIL will bear travelling, lodging, and boarding expenses as per SPMCIL Travel Rules
• TDS will be deducted at source
• Empaneled consultants will not get any other benefits or compensations available to regular SPMCIL employees

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their experience profile and eligibility criteria
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview

• Assist in resolving technical disputes or issues during project execution
• Handle cost estimates, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and technical specification reviews
• Follow government procurement procedures, CPWD Works Manual, GFR, and CVC guidelines
• Visit different SPMCIL operational units as required on a case-to-case basis
