BDL Bhanur Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Overview

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, is taking Graduate and Diploma (Technician) Apprentices in Engineering at its Bhanur unit in Sangareddy district, Telangana. This is one year of apprenticeship training under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973 — you get a monthly stipend and hands-on experience, not a regular job. The drive is open to engineering graduates and diploma holders who passed out in November 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026, and the whole process runs through the NATS portal.

Posts and Disciplines

• Graduate Apprentice (Category-I): for B.E./B.Tech holders in Mechanical, CSE/IT, ECE, EEE and Chemical Engineering. Mechanical and ECE take up most of the graduate seats.
• Diploma (Technician) Apprentice (Category-II): for diploma holders in Mechanical, CSE/IT, ECE, EEE, Civil and Chemical Engineering; Mechanical has by far the biggest share.
• Civil Engineering: open only to diploma holders — there are no graduate seats in Civil this time.
• CSE/IT, EEE and Chemical: only a handful of seats in each category, so check the breakdown before you pick this unit.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• No repeat apprentices: If you have already done, or are now doing, an apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, or you have one year or more of work experience, you cannot apply.
• Marks entry is compulsory: If you leave the "% of marks / CGPA x 10" box empty on NATS, your application will not be considered.
• Reservation certificates: SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EWS claims need a certificate in the Government format; without it you are treated as General. BC candidates claiming OBC must bring the central-format OBC certificate issued by the Tahsildar.
• Offer letter: If you are selected, the Preliminary Offer Letter is handed over at certificate verification itself, only for joining.
• Medical fitness: As laid down in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.
• Bank account: You must hold a valid Aadhaar-seeded bank account.
• No travel or stay costs: No TA/DA for certificate verification or joining, and no boarding or lodging.
• No job guarantee: BDL has no obligation to employ you after the apprenticeship, and you cannot claim a job on that basis.
• Beware of touts: BDL has not authorised any person or agency to act for it, and canvassing in any form cancels your candidature.

Application Submission Notes

You apply only through the NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in). New users register as a student to get a 12-digit enrolment number; if you enrolled on the old mhrdnats portal, use "Forgot password" to reset your login. Then search for "BHARAT DYNAMICS LIMITED" under "apply against advertised vacancies" and make sure the status shows "applied".

NATS takes about 2-3 days to generate a registration number, and portal enrolment closes a few days before the BDL application window, so register early.
