Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow, has released Advertisement No. I/10/1-12/Rectt./2026-27 dated 09.05.2026 for 47 backlog vacancies of Group B and Group C posts under a Special Recruitment Drive. Who Can Apply?

For Technician (Dialysis)

• B.Sc in Dialysis Technology OR B.Sc with 2-year diploma in Dialysis Technology
• 1 year of experience as a dialysis technician in a hospital with at least 20 dialysis units

For Technician (Radiology) and Technician (Radiotherapy)

• B.Sc in Radiology/Radiotherapy or equivalent diploma in the relevant field from a recognised institute
• Registration with the appropriate professional council where required

For Perfusionist and Technical Officer (Perfusion)

• B.Sc Perfusion Technology or equivalent qualification
• For Technical Officer post: additional experience and post-graduate qualification as per the advertisement

For Junior Engineer (Telecom / Electrical)

• Diploma in Telecom Engineering or Electrical Engineering (3 years) from a recognised institute
• Relevant experience in the field as per the detailed advertisement

For Medical Lab Technologist, Pharmacist Grade-II and other paramedical posts

• B.Sc MLT / D.Pharm or B.Pharm and registration with respective State Council
• Relevant qualification as per the post (refer to detailed advertisement)

Age Limit

• Age limits will be as per the official notification (post-wise).
• Standard age relaxation is available for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Uttar Pradesh state government rules.
• Age relaxation is also available for PwBD candidates, ex-servicemen and government employees as per applicable rules.

Salary

• Group B posts (Technical Officer): Pay Level-7 (Rs. 44,900 - Rs. 1,42,400) as per 7th CPC
• Group C technical posts (Technician, Perfusionist, JE, MLT): Pay Level-5 to Pay Level-6 (Rs. 29,200 - Rs. 92,300)
• Other Group C posts (Pharmacist, Receptionist, Sanitary Inspector): Pay Level-4 to Pay Level-5
• Plus DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Government of Uttar Pradesh rules applicable to SGPGIMS employees

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Online Application Scrutiny: Eligibility will be checked against the advertised criteria.
2. Written Examination: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an objective written test based on the post applied for.
3. Skill Test: Practical or skill test for technical posts wherever applicable.
4. Document Verification: Original certificates including category certificates, qualification, experience and identity proofs will be verified.
5. Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to fitness in the medical examination.

The final merit list will be prepared based on combined performance in the written exam and skill test (where applicable).

• Operate medical equipment including dialysis machines, radiology and radiotherapy systems as per post requirement
• Assist doctors and senior technologists during procedures, surgeries and diagnostic tests
• Maintain patient records, equipment logs and consumable inventory in the assigned department
• Follow infection control protocols, biomedical waste rules and patient safety guidelines
• Calibrate, clean and perform first-line maintenance of medical equipment
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for the department head
• Work in shifts including night duty and emergency calls as per hospital roster
• Train junior staff and interns in standard operating procedures of the unit
