KGBV Kheri Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Office of the District Basic Education Officer (BSA), Lakhimpur Kheri is hiring teaching and non-teaching staff for the district's Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) — residential schools for girls run under Samagra Shiksha by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department. Most openings are in the upgraded KGBVs, which now have principals and post-graduate subject teachers, while a smaller set is for the regular KGBVs that run Classes 6 to 8.

Every post in this drive is reserved for women candidates. All engagements are on a contract basis for the 2026-27 academic session, and the posts were approved by the district selection committee at its meeting on 26 September 2026. Posts and Disciplines

Upgraded KGBVs

• Principal (Pradhanacharya): separate posts for English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. The principal also teaches her own subject, so no separate PGT is appointed for that subject in her school.
• PGT (Post Graduate Teacher): Hindi, English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Computer Science Teacher: for students taking computer science; a technical degree or a postgraduate degree with a recognised computer course is needed along with B.Ed.
• Caretaker: a full-time residential post for a postgraduate with B.Ed; you must stay at the school at night.
• Office Superintendent / Clerk: office and record work; you will face a computer typing test in Hindi and English at the NIC office.
• Lab Assistant: support for the school science laboratories; the largest single group of posts in this drive.
• Peon, Chowkidar and Cook: full-time support staff who live on the school campus.

KGBVs (Classes 6 to 8)

• Full-time Teacher: Mathematics and Social Science; you need the Upper Primary TET along with a B.Ed degree.
• Part-time Teacher: Computer, Physical Education, and Art/Craft/Home Science/Music. Home science is counted under the art, craft and music post.
• Assistant Cook: full-time kitchen support with mandatory stay at the school.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Women only: only female candidates can apply for any post.
• Contract term: engagement is for the 2026-27 academic session on a fixed monthly honorarium.
• Night stay: Caretaker, Peon, Chowkidar, Cook and Assistant Cook must live at the school. Academic staff of the upgraded KGBVs do not have to stay at night.
• Health: Caretaker and support staff must be physically fit and free from any infectious disease.
• Training degree: a teacher-training qualification such as B.Ed is mandatory for every academic post; B.P.Ed, C.P.Ed and D.P.Ed count only for the Physical Education post.
• Character: anyone dismissed from service, convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude, or declared insolvent cannot be selected.
• Verification: your certificates are checked with the issuing board or institution, and the honorarium is paid only after this verification is complete.
• Experience proof: an experience certificate counts only if it carries the issuing institution's letter number and date.
• Marksheets: internet printouts of marksheets or certificates are not accepted, and any mismatch between marks in the form and the attached marksheets leads to rejection.
• Reservation: category reservation follows Uttar Pradesh government rules; the number of posts may go up or down, and the district selection committee can amend or cancel the notice at any time.

Application Submission Notes

Fill the form printed at the end of the notification (it is also on kheri.nic.in) and send it by registered post or speed post to the Office of the District Basic Education Officer, Samagra Shiksha, District Lakhimpur Kheri, PIN 262701. It must reach the office by 5 PM on the closing day.

• One form per post: send a separate application for each post you want.
• Envelope: write the post name and subject on the outer envelope.
• Return envelopes: place two self-addressed envelopes with Rs. 56 postage stamps each inside.
• Signature: sign the form yourself and self-attest every attached copy; unreadable or incomplete forms are rejected.
