JRHMS Community Health Officer Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Jharkhand Rural Health Mission Society (JRHMS), which runs the National Health Mission (NHM) in the state under the Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, is hiring Community Health Officers (CHOs) on contract. All the openings in this drive are backlog posts left unfilled in earlier rounds, and they are spread across every reserved category, with the largest shares for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.

The drive is meant for nurses who studied the integrated Certificate Programme in Community Health (CPCH) as part of their B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing course. Only those who passed in or after the 2016-2020 academic year from a college running that integrated curriculum qualify, so a plain nursing degree without CPCH will not be enough.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• One-year contract: You serve for one year, renewable if your work is satisfactory and the post is still needed. You cannot claim absorption into a regular post later.
• Notice period: The agreement runs for one year, but either side can end it with one month's notice.
• Performance incentive: On top of the fixed monthly pay, you can earn a performance-based incentive under the relevant NHM guidelines.
• Reservation: Seats follow the reservation policy and circulars of the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha, Government of Jharkhand.
• Age rules: The age limits come from Circular No. 03 dated 02.01.2026 of the Jharkhand government. Your 10th certificate or marksheet, or another government-approved document, is the accepted age proof.
• Cut-off date: Age, qualification and experience are all checked as on the closing date of the application.
• Posts can change: JRHMS may cancel some or all posts at any stage, and the number of posts may vary as per need.
• False details: If any information or certificate turns out to be wrong at any stage, your candidature is cancelled.

Application Submission Notes

Applications are online only through jrhms.jharkhand.gov.in or recruitment.jharkhand.gov.in. Forms sent by post, email or by hand are not accepted.

• Opening time: The online form opens at 11:59 PM on 31 October 2026, so the link may not work earlier that day.
• Check your status: After you submit, make sure your status reads "Submitted Successfully". Half-filled forms are rejected.
• No edits: You cannot change or correct anything once the form is submitted, so check every field and upload before the final click.
• Uploads: Forms without a photo, signature or the listed supporting documents are rejected.
• Advert number: The first page prints the advertisement as 05/2026/JRHMS-CHO-Integrated, while the second page shows 05/2025; both pages carry the same reference and date.
