RITES Individual Consultant Recruitment 2026 - 8 Posts

Rail India Technical and Economic Service Limited (RITES), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, is looking for experienced engineering professionals to work as Individual Consultants on a contract basis. These positions are for a construction project at an educational institution of national importance in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. Selection is through interview only -- there is no written exam. Experienced engineers with 5 to 10 years of post-qualification work can apply.

Who Can Apply?

Construction Manager - HVAC (YP/06/26)

• Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 10 years in HVAC works for building construction projects, preferably in educational institutions like IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, or NITs

Manager - Quality Control (YP/07/26)

• Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering plus Diploma or Certificate in Quality Control
• Experience: 10 years as QA/QC Engineer in building construction, with familiarity in Quality Assurance Programs for institutional projects

Manager - HSE/Safety (YP/08/26)

• Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering plus Certification or Course in Safety
• Experience: 10 years in managing Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) in construction projects

Senior Engineer - Civil (YP/09/26)

• Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Experience: 8 years with Degree or 10 years with Diploma in civil works for building construction

Senior Engineer - Electrical (YP/10/26)

• Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Experience: 8 years with Degree or 10 years with Diploma in electrical works for building construction

Senior Engineer - Mechanical (YP/11/26)

• Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 8 years with Degree or 10 years with Diploma in firefighting, lifts works and electro-mechanical works

Senior Engineer - HVAC (YP/12/26)

• Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 8 years with Degree or 10 years with Diploma in HVAC works for building construction

Billing Engineer (YP/13/26)

• Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Experience: 5 years in billing works related to building construction projects

Note: Training, internship, teaching, academic, fellowship, or PhD research experience will not count as post-qualification experience.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in campus development projects of educational institutions of national importance (IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, IISERs, NITs, Central Universities) with project values of Rs. 200 crore or above.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 60 years (as on 24 March 2026)
• No extension of engagement will be given beyond 65 years

Salary

• Construction Manager, Managers, and Senior Engineers: Rs. 75,000 per month (fixed)
• Billing Engineer: Rs. 50,000 per month (fixed)
• Payment is for services only. No PF, ESI, Gratuity, or statutory benefits are provided
• Leave: 1.5 days per completed month
• No TA/DA for joining, assignment completion, or interview attendance

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through Interview only. Here is how it works:

1. Document Scrutiny/Verification: All candidates who submit online applications will be provisionally allowed for document scrutiny. Your educational qualification and experience will be verified against the post requirements. Candidates can appear in-person or online.
2. Personal Interview: Only shortlisted candidates who clear document scrutiny will appear for the interview. You will be evaluated on technical skills, subject knowledge, experience, communication, and interpersonal skills.

RITES reserves the right to shortlist candidates for interview from the eligible pool. The interview venue is RITES Corporate Office, Gurugram or through video conferencing.

• Follow all HSE policies, safety protocols, and statutory compliance requirements at the construction site
