RITES Limited Senior Manager, Manager, Assistant Manager (Electrical) Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

Rail India Technical and Economic Service Limited (RITES), a Navratna PSU under the Government of India and the Ministry of Railways, has issued Vacancy Circular No. 09/26 (D) dated 28 April 2026 to fill 2 posts of Senior Manager / Manager / Assistant Manager (Electrical) for its African projects on deputation/immediate absorption basis. The normal tenure of deputation is 3 years, extendable based on requirement and performance. Officers from JE/SSE/Group-B/Junior Scale levels of Indian Railways and Railway PSUs are eligible.

Vacancy Details

• Senior Manager / Manager / Assistant Manager (Electrical): 2 posts
• Posting Location: Africa (officers can be posted anywhere in the country or abroad as per requirement)
• Tenure: 3 years (extendable)

The post designation depends on the candidate's existing pay level:

• 7th CPC Level-8 to 10 (Junior Scale/Group B and above): Designated as Sr. Manager (Electrical) — both deputation and immediate absorption
• SSEs in 7th CPC Level-8 (GP Rs. 4,800): Designated as Sr. Manager (Electrical) on deputation, or Manager (Electrical) on immediate absorption
• SSEs in 7th CPC Level-7: Designated as Manager (Electrical) — both deputation and immediate absorption
• JE/SSE in 7th CPC Level-6: Designated as Assistant Manager (Electrical) — both deputation and immediate absorption

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

• Full-time Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.

Experience

• You must currently work as SSE/JE (Diesel Electrical) with the Indian Railways or any Railway PSU.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Maintenance of ALCO Diesel Electric Locomotives of Indian Railways / Railways PSUs.

Other Conditions

• Officers must apply through proper channel via their administrative officer (HOD).
• Application must be forwarded with No Objection Certificate, Vigilance/DAR clearance, and ACRs/APARs for the past 5 years.

Age Limit

• On Immediate Absorption basis: Maximum 55 years as on the last date of submission of application.
• On Deputation basis: Maximum 57 years as on the last date of submission of application.

Salary

• Sr. Manager (Electrical) — Pay Level 8 to 10 (7th CPC): Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month
• Manager (Electrical) — Pay Level 7 (7th CPC): Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month
• Assistant Manager (Electrical) — Pay Level 6 (7th CPC): Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month
• As per Railway Board guidelines, you will get parent pay plus deputation allowance, foreign allowance (where applicable), and other perks admissible on deputation.
• Accommodation: RITES will provide Company/Leased accommodation as per entitlement to officers joining on deputation.

Selection Process

Selection is based on the marking criteria laid down in Annexures II and III of the vacancy circular:

1. For Immediate Absorption (out of 100 marks):
   • Educational Qualification: 20 marks (Basic 15 + Additional qualification like M.Tech/MBA up to 5)
   • Vigilance/DAR record: 10 marks
   • APAR (last 5 years): 25 marks
   • Work Experience (varied and most relevant): 15 marks
   • Length of Service (5 years in Indian Railways): 10 marks
   • Overall Suitability (Domain knowledge + Managerial competence): 20 marks
   • Cut-off: Candidates scoring 75% or more qualify for the merit list.
2. For Deputation (out of 100 marks):
   • Educational Qualification: 15 marks
   • Vigilance/DAR record: 10 marks
   • APAR (last 5 years): 25 marks
   • Interview Performance (Domain, Experience, Managerial competence, Suitability): 50 marks
   • Cut-off: Candidates scoring 60% or more qualify for the merit list.

5. The forwarded application must reach RITES within 45 days from 28 April 2026, i.e. by 12 June 2026.
